Okay guys, my search for the perfect chocolate chip cookie is over! These cookies are the absolute best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. They’re super soft, chewy and so addicting! Everyone who tries these cookies asks me for the recipe, so here it is (original recipe linked below)!
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tps baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups large flake oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips (I like 1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark and 1/2 cup milk)
Directions
In a medium sized bowl, mix together flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt and set aside.
In another bowl or standing mixer, cream together butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar for 1-2 minutes until well combined. Then mix in the egg and vanilla.
Once combined, scrape down sides of bowl with spatula and slowly mix in the dry ingredients on a slow speed until just combined. Fold in the oats and chocolate chips with a spoon until just combined. Cover the dough tightly and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Once dough is cool, pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. While oven is heating, scoop out dough with a cookie scoop or a 1/8 cup measuring cup and roll into balls. Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes and transfer to cooling rack. Under-baked cookies will always be softer so I usually bake my cookies just until the edges are looking golden brown, about 8 minutes.
